SSR should be an enjoyable 15 minutes of your day where you get to read a book of your choice.  Choosing is sometimes the hardest part!  This is where our class reading blog comes in.  Using the comment button, share books you have read that you like.  It is helpful to give a brief explanation of the book, or a link to the a page that explains a bit.  You can also ask your classmates if they know of any good books on a certain topic of interest.  Happy Reading!

There's a book series by Michael Grant that includes six highly intense books about the struggles of a group of kids after everyone over 14 dissapears and they gain superpowers.

If you liked the Harry Potter, Maze Runner, or Hunger Games you might like the Divergent Series or vise versa. If you like any of those series you'll probably like the others.

Some good books:

-The Great Gatsby (about rich people in the 20s)

-Lord of the Flies (basically the hunger games but on an island in the 40s)

-The Hate U Give (about racism in modern america)

-Turtles All the Way Down (murder mystery but everyone is having a mental breakdown)

-Pax ("boy and his dog" type story, anti-war subplot)

I suggest you read To Kill A Mockingbird if you haven't, I feel like that's something you would like.

Once We We’re Brothers -Ronald H Balson.
If your interested in any fictional books, based on WW2, books on law, or just like a good story, than this book will pull you in like a fish on bait!
At first I wasn’t to sure about the book. From the title and back of the book it seemed like it would just be a depressing story about how a family or best friends broke up, with some WW2 ties, but the story of Ben Solomon (a German Jewish survivor) and the mischief of his personality, the people he turns to for help, and his enemies really is enough to lure you into keep reading. While some parts may be emotional, some of it can be really adrenaline driving.
I’d recommend it to anybody, it’s around 300pgs, and makes for an awesome read! -Dive In!
